Delphinium Flower | Ingrini

The Delphinium caught my eye as soon as I walked into one of my favorite flower shops. Apart from a beautiful striking blue, it also blooms in pink, white, and purple.

Interesting Facts About The Delphinium

  • Delphinium is one of about 300 species of perennial flowering plants in its family
  • Native throughout the Northern Hemisphere and high mountains of tropical Africa
  • Its name derives from an Ancient Greek word meaning “dolphin”

Green Fingers

The pretty flower is a favorite for many gardeners, but can sometimes be challenging maintaining. They prefer moist, cool summers and struggle in hot, dry weather, wind or rain. Almanac has a comprehensive guide on all the gardening how to’s.

Pet Friendliness

Unfortunately, all members of the genus Delphinium are toxic to humans and livestock. If ingested, they can cause nausea, twitching muscles, drowsiness and other serious symptoms.

There is no need to worry about the toxicity of the petals used in Ingrini pieces as they are cured and sealed in the resin, making them safe to wear.
